The gastronomy of the Costa del Sol stands out, above all, for its fresh products from the sea and garden. It also has numerous meat-based recipes and dishes which are more suitable for winter, the latter ideal for spoon lovers. But, in the last few years, vegan, organic and/or gluten-free restaurants have opened in Marbella.

This culinary diversity has made it easier for both regular residents and visitors, who opt for these types of menus, to have their needs met. In some cases, choosing "vegan/organic/gluten-free" is a matter of preserving one’s health, in other cases, a matter of life philosophy, and other times simply a matter of taste preferences.

In this post we are going to provide some guidance for our readers, so that they will know where they can enjoy a different gastronomic experience. In addition to the national and international offers in the restaurant sector, Marbella is also an innovative place and has embraced the healthiest trends.

Places for healthy food lovers in Marbella

RACHEL´S ECO LOVE

At the top of the glamour and healthy proposals is Rachel's Eco Love. Located in the heart of Puente Romano, it has a cheerful terrace and an endless selection of natural juices and enriched smoothies to cool off with. It is a favourite of influencers and has a delicious menu. Super breakfasts, bowls, wraps, toasts, soups, salads, pastas, burgers, and homemade cakes will delight those who are watching their nutrition. They also have gluten free options and their allergen menu is well designed.

MANUKA

This restaurant defines itself as an "organic flexitarian restaurant" and that truly is a statement of intent. Manuka boasts 100% natural food, free of refined sugars, additives, or chemicals. Moreover, their menu shows that they are inspired by different cultures and that many of their bases are plant-based. They have several restaurants in Marbella: one in La Cañada, another one on the promenade in the Plaza del Mar shopping centre, and a third one inside Hotel Alanda.

THE FARM

In the centre of Marbella we find this fun offer - a changing menu with an organic profile. They are committed to making dishes with seasonal, "kilometre 0" (from local producers) products, but their menu is not entirely plant-based. Next to the names of the dishes on the menu, so that there is no confusion, they add a VG, if it is strictly vegan. The best thing about the place is the number of events The Farm organises. From an afternoon of flamenco to original flea markets, from a DJ session to a morning of yoga.

ORGANIC MARKET & FOOD RESTAURANT

In the heart of the Golden Mile, just opposite the legendary Marbella Club Hotel, stands a classic of the city's "passion for plant-based nutrition". With a great terrace area and its private small parking space, it shines brightly in the world of organic restaurants on the Costa del Sol. It has a whole healthy living awareness project behind it and the dishes are touching, because they are made with love. Organic Market & Food Restaurant feature an interesting detox programme with bottles of organic juice that they bottle themselves and have a returnable bottle option.

CELICIOSO

At the top of the list of well-known restaurants for celiacs or gluten-free lovers in Marbella is Celicioso (from celiac + delicious). Initially, it opened as a bakery, with wonderful cakes and cupcakes, but today it is, without any doubt, in the minds of all those who are looking for this option. Its founding mission is "to seek the welfare of its customers", be they allergic, intolerant, or if they just prefer gluten-free without further explanation. It is a must to have a coffee or a juice in Celicioso, if you come to Marbella, and, with such a tempting menu, you will be encouraged to choose something more substantial. Pets are allowed, it is in a corner of the Puente Romano resort, and it is just a few metres from the sea, three more reasons to add it to your list of favourites.

Vegan/organic and gluten-free is not boring!

We hope you can indulge yourselves with so many fresh, healthy and tasty products. For those of you who prefer the more traditional cuisine - we invite you to try them as well. These proposals are anything but boring, if anyone reading this has any prejudices. On the contrary, they are full of colour and flavour andare, of course, another feature of the Costa del Sol.
